This is NOT my addon. I simply got tired of waiting for the author to update BGAssist to 2.0, so did it myself. If the author releases his own update, I will discontinue this addon, but until then, here is a 2.0 working version of BGAssist.
Note that I do not use the targetting window functions of this mod, therefore did not spend much time with that part of the mod. It's possible that the targetting window will not work with WoW 2.0, so just turn that option off if it gives you trouble.
Changes:
- 2.0.6 - Fixes Shaman/Paladin issues
- 2.0.5 - Re-uploaded with libraries
- 2.0.4 - FIxed the option to show battleground minimap when entering a BG
- 2.0.3 - Very minor change to the previously fixed function
- 2.0.2 - Fixed Alterac Valley quest Auto-Turnin bug
- 2.0.1 - Fixed Auto-Signup bug
- 2.0 - Updated for WoW 2.0
The original mod can be found here:

Fixes Shaman/Paladin issues
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Jackalantern saidIn patch 2.1 this add-on causes massive intermittent game lock ups, ranging anywhere from 2 seconds to 8 and will happen very often, to the point you cannot play a battleground with this mod on, the only use it has now is for afk boting but even then your still skipping all the time.
Either update this or someone direct me to a link where another mod has similair properties.

magwa saidThanks for keeping this alive for 2.0 but i have been having too many little problems that i have now moved onto a new BG mod: SSPVP link: http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/details/2254/sspvp/ -Classes not showing up on the scoreboard -Cant target flag carrier in WSG -Error everytime i changed zones
Probably some other little things too. But this mod has served me very well and i thank you for keeping this as operational as possible. Good luck in your future modding!

Sinzar saidGlad to hear it :)
Eventually I'll finish off all the PvE 5 man stuff in BC and have nothing to do outside of raiding except PvP, at which time I'll focus more attention on this mod :)

I'm using FuBar's HonorFu which might mess with it?

Sinzar saidI uploaded a beta version of this mod with a first try at fixing Paladin/Shaman issues. It is completely untested as I haven't done any BG's at all since Burning Crusade. Feel free to try it out, and if it doesn't work you can re-download 2.0.5.
As I said, the beta fix is untested and only a first, very quick attempt at a hotfix. I may (may not) spend more time in the future making a more permanent (working) solution.

heyhey saidit messes up when you have a shaman on an ally team or a paladin on a horde team
if someone can make this little fix then it would work perfectly again. currently it is severely broken until this happens as a nonstop error pops up during any bg under these conditions.

Tinytots saidCan anyone please update this mod? It is a very usefull mod for autosignup, autorelease, and autojoin BGs.
I am having a continuous error that mainly pops up in AV: "Interface\Addons\BGAssist\BGAssist.lua: 1461: attempt to perform arithmetic on field ('?' a nil value)
Can anyone modify the .lua file to correct this issue for the current patch?
I had a look at the .lua file, but I do not know what line needs correcting.
Thanks!
