Suicide Kings Geo is a Loot Distribution plugin based on the original "Suicide Kings" written by JoeHunk. This is a complete rewrite of that code, with many requested features implemented that were not present in the previous version.
Listing the differences here between the old and new codebases is not reasonable, but there is far more thorough documentation on the wiki page, and I strongly recommend reading both the release notes for this version, as well as the Differences document as a good starting point for new users.
I'm pleased to announce the 6.53 Bugfix release of Suicide Kings Geo. This is a MAJOR bugfix release that addressed many of the list corruption issues that cropped up from the first gold release (6.24).
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you attempt to run this new version and ANY previous versions of SuicideKings or SuicideKingsGeo together at the same time. There is too much overlap in the commands used by both addons, and it will render them both useless.
You will find procedures on the wiki for how to import lists from the old to the new version. Since this also needs to be tested, I strongly recommend following those procedures to do so.
Please use the jira bug tracking page for bug reports, feature requests or to suggest improvements. As soon as I am able, comments and ticket tracking on this site will be disabled in this project, so please do not comment here or use the ticketing system here as I will not be checking up on them.

Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Zhinjio saidFolks, please use the blog: (http://skg.trippy.org/) for general questions and comments. I strongly recommend reading the wiki page (http://skg.trippy.org/wiki/) for a first stab at your questions to see if it has been answered in the existing documentation. If you have a verified bug, please report it on the jira page (http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKG) in order to file bugs. I no longer use the ticketing system here (need to shut that off), and very rarely come back here to read comments, using the blog and jira pages as my primary source of addressing user complaints.
Thanks,

commche saidJust a note: v5.43 works fine in terms of the List Management, Sync and Security Options, but I get an error message whenever I try to start a bid. This is driving me crazy. Any help would really be appreciated. My very first post hasn't yielded a response for 7 days. Am I in the right place at all?

commche saidv5.82rc2 seems to have the same problem. When I toggle through the information panes, I only get the SKG options, help pane and bidding pane. No list management pane and no sync pane. What am I doing wrong?
Could someone please help me or direct me to a place where I might be able to find some help? I would greatly appreciate it as this system is perfect for my guild and we are currently rolling on gear at the moment which may start causing problems soon.

commche saidRC1 doesn't have a list / player management pane... Also I get error message whenever I loot something in a raid. Everytime I type a slash command I get "Need Usage Data". What am I doing wrong. None of the other versions work for me either. Any help would be appreciated. Any forums I can go to?

wilz saidWell, I created a list on the 'guild leader' character.
Security refuses to accept the third highest rank. I manually named my alts as syncers, and a particular alt as a proxy admin. When I went to my alt, I still can't do anything - open bids, manage list etc.
There were no other people to sync with, so couldn't have been a syncing problem. Or is this addon impossible to use without multiple users?

Wijbrandus saidThe 5.51b link is still downloading the 5.43b edition. Looks like the package was named right, but includes the outdated files instead of the new ones. Could you correct, or point me to a different source? Excellent addon, very eager to start playing with the new features.

Zhinjio saidFolks, I'm no longer going to be using the ticketing system here, as I now have a fancy shmancy jira page setup for this. Over the next few hours, I'm going to be removing all the existing tickets, checking to see if they still apply in any way to the new version, adding them to jira, and then removing them here.
I encourage you to use the new wiki: for information and documentation And the jira page for reporting bugs, submitting feature requests, etc.
I will try to check here every once in awhile to answer questions, but in all likelihood, your questions are answered on the wiki.

kcuhc saidOk yep, that is indeed fixed.
ready for the most completely nubbish and random question? How do you make yourself SK Master with this mod?
I had teh mod running in a test raid, loot dropped, but no option came up to put anything for bid. None of the Class specifications, none of that stuff appeared. All the help things said the Loot Admin\master will have the option.
but, i dont have the option to make myself loot admin\master - the old /skg master doesnt work
help! :)

Zhinjio saidThis version does not have the "Master" concept anymore. Anyone who is currently logged in with SKG running (and with appropriate privileges) can make changes to list. You don't have to worry anymore about who has master. Multiple simultaneous raids can be making changes the lists at the same time without worry.

kcuhc saidOne issue thats making this beta unusable for me is after i imported the lists from the old mods to test out, the drop down menu to select the list would hide behind the SKG window. With only 3-4 lists showing up at the bottom
3 Total lists imported, each with the raid and individual class lists associated with it.

I'm currently assisting Zhin with the bug repair and I too have this same issue as you. The work around at the moment is to click the "Select List" button and then close the window, the pulldown will be sitting on the ui from there. I have not been able to locate the problem just yet.
Can I ask you to send me an email with a list of your addons so that I can compare between us to see which my be fracking with us?

Jeaz found the issue and fix :D. Quoting from JIRA bug tracker:
Thanks Jeaz for finding this. Although there may be other causes to this, go to the layout-cache.txt folder in your character's directory (<wowdir>/account/<accountname>/<servername>/<charactername>/layout-cache.txt and remove any references to SKG_Frame. It will look something like this:
Frame: SKG_Frame
FrameLevel: 1
Anchor: LEFT
X: 301
Y: 52
W: 256
H: 512

Zhinjio saidWork on the beta is progressing. I'm currently working on the hardest part of the whole plugin, namely ... the syncing of data between two players. For more current commentary, changelogs, and to participate in the beta, please go to http://skg.trippy.org/ and register a user there.
Thanks again for your continued support and patience.
