  • About CloseUp
  •

~~Previously known as ImproveDressingRoom. It's basically the same functionality, just supports more models!~~

Allows you to zoom, reposition, and rotate the UI's builtin models so that you may get a better view. Should support all models that you can interact:

  • Dressing Room (including Auction House's)
  • Character Info
  • Inspect
  • Pet Info/Stable
  • Tabard

How to use:

  • Zoom in/out - mouse wheel up/down
  • Position x/y - right click and drag any direction
  • Rotate - left click and drag side to side
  • Toggle dressing room's background - ctrl left click

In addition, CloseUp adds target/undress buttons to dressing room windows.

Benefits of Registration

  • Interact with hundreds of thousands of other gamers on an open social network.
  • Post your stories, news, images, videos, and other content to share.
  • Create a network with your fellow gamers or join an existing one.
  • Gain reputation for everything you do.
  • If no one has noticed yet, 2.1 broke the ability to show NPCs as dressup models (now shows as a base white model). I added a frame to view them normally; however, you cannot dress/undress them anymore (not like it worked fully before).

I like it! I only have one issue, which is an add-on interaction thing:

The add-on 'ItemRack' reads an Alt-click of the character image in the inventory window for one of its functions. (Putting a 'set' button on it's hot-bar.) With CloseUp running, that doesn't work. Any way to keep it so the Alt-click on image can still be read by other add-ons?

But overall, very nice! Thank you!

WTB zoom in without scroll wheel = \

    cntrl-click and drag?

  • Probably. When does that error occur? Does it still happen if mobileframes is disabled and CloseUp enabled? Other way around?

Also, just looking at the toc file of mobileframes makes me sad.

  • it seems that this is an problem with mobileframes maybe an incompatibility?

  • Sheesh, Ace is not a cult.

  • I wonder if it could be aced.. it would put the whole mod into a library and then you need to write some code to actually use the library..

works great as it is :)

  • Right. Just saying there are many mods that are not Ace2 but are currently best of the best or better fits an individual's wants. So...if it's not Ace2, one won't use it?

Moreover, if a mod really doesn't benefit from using Ace2 or the coder knows what he's doing, then no need to use it. In CloseUp's case, it will gain zero benefit from using Ace2.

  • Prolly that there are alot of good addons out there that are not and most likely never will be Ace2 because the author was able to write all the functions he needed and therefore did not need to include the overhead of the Ace2 Libraries.

  • "It's also a bad habit to only use Ace2 mods."

-What's your reasoning behind this statement?

  • Well, using Ace2 for this will be overdoing it, and I only update this mod every 2-3 months on average. It's also a bad habit to only use Ace2 mods.
