About Wardrobe

Wardrobe is an AddOn that lets you define up to 20 distinct equipment profiles (called "outfits") and lets you switch among them on the fly.

Features:

Wardrobe allows you to specify and name up to 20 different outfits (basically, anything you can equip on your character). You can have a "Standard" outfit, a "Role Playing" outfit, a "Stamina Gear" outfit, a "Really Very Ugly" outfit, a "Wearing a Pointy Hat" outfit, etc.

Wardrobe provides both slash commands and a graphical interface. The graphical interface consists of a little button that is draggable / placeable anywhere you like. Mousing over the button brings up a menu of your outfits, as well as a link to the outfit management menu. If an item that's part of an outfit isn't currently in your inventory, the outfit name will appear greyed in the menu to let you know this (although you'll still be able to equip that outfit sans the missing item). Your currently equipped outfit(s) will appear brightly colored in the menu.

Outfits are saved per character as opposed to per account, so that character "BigBadOrc" can have separate outfits from "LittleMissElf."

Wardrobe requires Chronos to work. It doesn't require Cosmos, but will work with Cosmos if you have it installed.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

I've installed Chronos and this addon, and I get the addon-button in my interface. I've already defined a couple of equipmentsets, and the whole thing is very easy to use..
Problem is when I click the addon-button, and select an equipment set to switch to (ie 'Healing')..
It says something like.. 'Changed to Healing.. But in reality it hasn't changed a thing. (I switch outfits _all_ the time (Druid you see.. different equipsets for catform, bearform, pvp and healing + the obligatory riding equips of course :P.. so the addon would be _excellent_ if I could get it to work)
Any ideas?

I can make outfits and evrything works great exept 1 thing (pretty major)...nothing happens when I press an outfit that i created.
It says in my log, for example, switched to fire resistance, but I don't get the things equiped, though I have evrything that should be equiped in my inventory.
And one other thing (probebly has to do with the same fault), if I dont have the items witch are to be equiped the text dont turn grey, its still in the same collor.

I think this mod has been discontinued, so there won't be fixes for it. I'd look into Outfitter or better yet, Item Rack.

There is exactly ONE reference to it in a full google search, and that points to this page. I installed Chronos, and I get errors about ChronosSea having a nil value.
I did a character by character search through my entire WOW folder and no reference to it.

As this is broke after 1.9. I'm moving this to the Discontinued section. There are numerious updates, pickups, and replacements out there now.
My suggestion: ITEMRACK!

Doesn't work after the 1.9 patch. Menu is still there, but selecting an outfit doesn't do anything. Needs a fix! This is an extremely handy mod and I love it.

Can you leave instructions on how to use this- for sumreason its not working right or sumthing im on darkspear- my name is "chelf" msg me if u can- otherwise just respond on here- i try to switch wardrobes and nothing happens and it says the other wardrobes would be dimmed out- they arnt so idk
