Features
New: Punks List - The Punks list is part of our enhanced Social window. It allows you to add enemy player names to the list and when detected near you or another Carbonite user in your guild or zone, it will alert you with a message, sound and draw a green circle on the map.
Map - The Carbonite map gives you all the information you need in one easy to use and flexible Google like map. Move, size or zoom it the way you like.
Favorites - Records map notes, targets and general comments.
Quest - Blaze through quests at lightning speed and level faster than you ever thought possible. Our extensive quest database lists the location of quest objectives and turn-ins. Simply click any objective from your quest watch list and Carbonite will show you where to go. No more wasted time bouncing back and forth between a web browser and the game.
Battlegrounds - Dominate your opponents with our enhanced battleground map. See the location and names of all your teammates. See objective timers right on the map and issue orders with a click of the mouse call for reinforcements to attack a vulnerable enemy target or simply announce the status of an objective. He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot, will be victorious. - Sun Tzu
UI - Windows can be moved, sized, scaled and locked. Values are saved for each character. Coexists well with most UI addons.
Privacy - Not in a social mood? Just turn off communication with guild, friend or zone and other Cabonite users won't see you on the map.

dogvetusa saidI love carbonite quest much more than any other addon of its type that I have used. There are some things that I have noticed that are a bit annoying and I will list them for you :D
not being able to bring up the carbonite full map from any of the menus, I just cant seem to find the option. I rely on my "default" map to show trackables and info from other addons and find it really annoying to have to change my settings or ignore the carbonite full map totally. just a button on the carbonite minimap title frame would make me totally happy.
I love that i can ignore quests labeled as dungeon quests, but I find that the lack of an option to ignore group quests to be rather annoying, especially when I dont notice that it is a group quest and get flattened by elites or in later levels where lots of the quests are group oriented (my god!). O_O
I love how when you hover over the minimap shaded areas for a quest that it tells you which quest that area goes with, but i would find it more helpful if that area also showed what I needed to do to complete the stuff in that area, gather certain items from the environment, kill a certain monster...because not all quest descriptions are clear on what you should be doing when you get to the area. an example would I believe be quest helper addon, it tells you what you are supposed to be doing in the area, not just the area you need to go to.
I would like to second the motion to have this modular in some way, all of the reasons listed by Tequima a few posts down are relevant for me as well. I find that I dont/hardly ever use all of the features of this addon on my main chars (70's) and would like to be able to disable certain things entirely on those characters while retaining some functions of the addon.
I dont think I have any addon issues other than personal preference issues.
Your addon works well on a mac, though I assumed it would. Just in case you wanted to know.

madman2067 saidSo I have finally narrowed down my FPS issue to Carbonite. As much as I love this addon It is making playing wow impossible. During gameplay Before carbonite I enjoyed 60 FPS consistently. Now however I randomly flutter up and down between 5-35 FPS. This has all occurred since the last update of carbonite i believe. BTW my system is more than capable of running wow with or w/o addons Intel 3gig coreduo, 7800 GTX.

Tequima saidI have the same problem - and it is only in the last few patches (since about 2.6/2.5?). I haven't dared upgrade until now in case the functions became more bloated.
Is there someway they could be split up like Auction Helper, so you can choose which add-on modules are loaded at the start? For example, if I am BG'ing I don't need the quest side, but the BG map is great for seeing which locales are under-resourced in EoTS or AB. Likewise, if I'm doing dailies on QD, I don't need the map.
Great add-on for questing, but after falling in the water once too often trying to run up to the boat on QD, the FPS is seriously embarrassing!

xvshadow saidIs there anyway for the tracker to show up on the Carbonite Quest Minimap? I want to eliminate the default Blizzard minimap and use only the Carbonite Quest one. However, mining nodes, repair, etc don't show up on it.
EDIT: By tracker, I do not mean quest tracker.

Solice12 saidI'm refining my previous post. I've found the quest tracker is pretty much key to using the programs mini map, so eliminating it would leave the mod lacking a lot of it's function. Instead, finding a way to select (not filter) which quests are tracked would definantly make this 100% better. I don't like having every quest in my log on the tracker. I may just be too new to the mod, and not know all it's functions. Is there a key bind, such as the default shift clicking a quest, to select tracking of only one or two of the quests in your log?

I'm fairly sure carbonite quest has been corrupting my game files requiring me to continually repair my installation and on one occasion even re-install the whole thing. The first corrupt file during the repairs has always been the same map file, and no other add-on I've used has any reason to interact with map files.
I would not recommend using this "add-on" without backing-up your files first. Although, if it were not for the file corruption I would definitely recommend using it. It is quite a bit more handy than QuestHelper if you take the time to learn how to use it. I in fact may take my own advice, back-up my files, and continue to use it.

sheirdog saidI dont know about that beacuse whenever i have carbonite quest in adons folder it will make my game corrupts many times most of the time when im using the main map not the mini map. If I take carbonite out of addons folder game dossent crash. But this is my favroit quest addon i think its the best but its gettin frusterating.. sooo if any one can figure out what is going on ...please do...

Solice12 saidExcellent work on the mod. Works well and I love how memory efficient it is. The only problem I have with it is, I HATE the quest tracker (shift click quest thing). I would rather use the default one. But I can't seem to disable it to anything less than a minimized bar. Is there a way to disable ONLY the visual "text" portion of the quest tracking?
