Hey everyone,

The last week Curse.com have had several issues with anything from image uploading to images not displaying and video uploading, problems with downloading files and several other problems including issues with news not displaying correctly and also videos sometimes not streaming.

Our developers have been actively working on fixing all the problems with the site since they were first discovered and they feel that most problems have been resolved.

Summary:

  • Image uploading should now work correctly
  • Media uploading should now work correctly
  • Viewing images when logged out now works
  • Downloading files should work a lot better now, no really, it does!
  • You should be able to download files via the Curse Client
  • If you previously experienced problems with streaming videos -- it should now work
  • Video uploading should now work correctly (for real this time)

If you discover anything that still might be broken or not function as intended, please let us know.

    Cheshrcatz,

    The developer of the Curse Client will most likely have numerous client bugs fixed at the end of this week.

    when i try to update and DL new packages i get a message Failed to connect to previous instance
    [error 00000000]
    I can log to the web and i get notification of updates or did in the past, and that some packages are not being handled by curse, and to select where they are, I try to dl the new pkg by the curse dl button and get the above error, I hope you can help me with this, as I think it is a great help in handling all my addons.

    When I click on something to download it, the setup downloads, and I go through the entire process until the box says, "Verifying system settings..."blah blah blah...and then after I hit "OK" it finished downloading extremely quickly, but fails to install! I know I'm not the only person who has/had this problem. What can I do?

    IT SAYS I DONT HAVE AN ACC... AND I DO ...THIS IS A LOAD OF CURSE.... WHY CANT I JUST DOWNLOAD THE FUCKING FILES AND EXTRACT THEM HOLY WHHY DO U HAVE TO MAKE EVERY LITTLE THING SO DIFFICULT.........

    When I click on 'install via curse client, NOTHING happens. I've logged in w/different web browsers , logged out and in. Quit EVERYTHING. Came back tried again. Just won't do anything. You guys have spoiled me with this! Hope it works again soon.

    I tried to download Atlasloot Enhanced for WOW and this page "psyn://services.curse.com/client/install.xml?id=2983" opens but the addon doesnt load.
    Thanks for all the wonderful addons, curse is my best friend in the whole world. ;)

    When you've tryede Ace AddOn Downloader - the Curse Client is rubbish .

    Enchantede can even be downloaded there since its an Ace AddOn Ö

    The screen shot uploads don't seem to be working for me nor does the character info upload. When I take a screenshot and save it, it does show the pic being uploaded however - where does it go? Not to my Curse profile. :-(

    Love this addon btw - thank you!

    whenever I open curse client, or the debug for that matter, I keep getting this message "Exception c0000005 caught at 1000F592", in fact I haven't even been able to put in my curse account information. While the window talking about the illegal operation is up though I can access stuff at the icon on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. And actually, I can still use it if I don't press yes on the exception caught window

    As Kody posted in another thread:

    Your data is all there and waiting; we're putting the finishing touches on character profiles now for WOWDB, and trust me, they're well worth the wait from what I've seen so far.

    Once character profiles are live, everything about your character will be displayed -- nothing should be lost or erroneous. :)
